Name:
Efergy E2 Energy Monitor
Purpose:
To monitor Household Energy Usage & Identify Areas to improve on.
Energy monitors help you track electricity usage in your house. There are two different types of energy monitor: simple single-plugin monitors that measure one specific device, and household energy monitors that simply connect to your meter or fuse-board and can then track everything from lighting to television energy & power usage.
How it works:
The Efergy E2 Wireless monitor is a three part system:
1 - A clip that goes around the main power cable that goes into your meter or fusebox
2 - A wireless sender unit that sends the data from the clip to the monitor unit
3 - The monitor unit - gives you a visual representation in $'s, Kwh, and C02 output.
F.A.Q.'s:
Q- If I remove the batteries will I lose the information on the display?
A- If you need to change or remove the batteries, the display has an internal memory, so information stored on the display will not be lost.
Q- How do I reset the display (clear the data and start again)?
A- Press Mode and Date Buttons simultaneously and hold for two seconds ‘clr’ will be displayed on the screen.
Q- How far does the device transmit?
A- Transmitters work up to around 40 meters within the home. The 433MHz range is well suited for in home use. This can cover three floors, and also well suited to buildings where meters are outside the main building.
Q- I have three dashes (- - -) showing on the display. What does this mean?
A- Move the display closer to the transmitter and press the Link Button. If the dashes remain on the display this would indicate the transmitter and receiver are not communicating.
Q- Backlight appears to work sometimes, and not other times. Is my display broken?
A- No. The backlight is on a timer to save battery life. The display should work at darker periods of the day, when any buttons are pressed.
